About the Eggsellence Awards
It could be a Shakshuka found at a super secret place in Lakemba or perhaps a life-changing carbonara on Lygon street, the Eggsellence Awards are our way of celebrating the diversity and quality of the egg dishes in Australia’s food scene.
Once the public’s nominations are in, Manu will select the top four dishes and get the chefs to come together to create a d-egg-ustation menu at a pop-up restaurant in Sydney.
There the dining public will perform the final tasting. The results will be deliberated, debated and re-tasted until the ultimate winner will be crowned and celebrated as the most eggsellent egg dish in Australia.
The winner will receive a plaque to proudly display on their wall, showing the world how eggsellent they really are. So get tasting, get nominating, and get eggstremely eggcited because now is the time to celebrate the best eggs dishes of Australia.
World Egg Day
We will be hosting our awards on the 10th of October with the winner being announced, the following day, on World Egg Day.
