EggTasters: on-farm training

The EggTasters training program is fully funded by Australia Eggs and facilitated by 4UpSkilling for Australian Eggs members. EggTasters gives egg farms access to short-form training opportunities for their staff, including: biosecurity, egg-farm safety, multifactorial shed management and team/staff management.

The EggTasters program can be tailored to suit your farm/s needs, once off or scheduled at intervals as part of your ongoing induction of new starters.

Training can be delivered on-farm, at an off-site location that suits your needs or in a hybrid approach of on-farm and online learning. One or all four training topics can be undertaken separately or combined into a program suited to your needs.

Topic One: How could that disease get onto our farm? 

For team leaders & management

Session content includes: 

• Virus and bacteria. 
• The cycle of disease. 
• Routes of infection. 
• How to assess your vaccination program. 

Topic Two: Build a strong motivated team – DISC Advance Profiling 

For team leaders & management 

Session content includes: 

• Understand how to develop their teams and build strong team dynamics. 
• Understand how to integrate specific staff development strategies. 
• How to re-motivate your team by addressing peoples specific needs. 
• Provide a tool for people to utilise their strengths and look for personal opportunities to improve. 

Topic Three: Play it safe on the farm 

For farm staff and team leaders 

Session content includes: 

• PPE – What not to wear 
• Hazard Identification and risk assessment 
• Responsibilities on farm – who’s to blame? 
• Manual handling 
• WHS workplace documentation 

Topic Four: Thermoneutral zone for all 

For farm staff and team leaders 

Session content includes: 

• Air quality and its importance 
• Multifactorial pressure’s 
• Thermoneutral zone 
• Importance of the stock people

Enrolments are year-round and tailored for your staff needs. The EggTasters topics are delivered and administrated by 4UpSkilling (RTO 32141)
