What’s involved

Get Started

Once you’ve gained good experience on farm, in one (or all!) of the areas available, you may decide to journey on to your leadership pathway.  The first step might be a Team Leader or Supervisor role, progressing to Assistant Farm Manager or 2IC (Second In-Charge).

These “intermediate” roles are the perfect balance of hands-on farm management with leadership responsibilities, and there is a whole lot of room to grow within this category.

The roles may involve organising daily work schedules, leading, supervising and mentoring team members, communicating with management and senior leadership teams, analysing production data, ensuring a high standard of animal welfare and proactively participating in quality assurance, biosecurity, work health and safety and food safety practices.
