The EKKA

Running since 1876, The Royal Queensland Show (Ekka) is Queensland's largest annual event which attracts more than 428,000 people each August. Australian Eggs is a proud sponsor of the Royal National Agriculture and Industrial Association of Queensland each year, and brings our ‘Kids Get Cooking’ demonstration to EKKA which provides a hands-on learning experience for children of all ages.

The free kids’ cooking classes are a fun, hands-on way to get kids egg-cited about cooking! Participants are taught to measure, grate and chop, then enjoy their egg creation. All children receive an apron to take home, a recipe booklet, and most importantly - learn skills they can continue to use for life.
