Practical strategies to measure hen welfare
This project developed a method to detect positive and negative affective states in layer flocks through blood and egg samples.
This project identified several microRNA's in layer's eggs and blood which are indicative of positive and negative affective states of a layer flock. The methods devised in this project provide a potential mechanism for better understanding the welfare of laying hens.
